Affordable Art Supplies for Beginners for under $55


Welcome and or Welcome back to my blog! My name is Omanah, and in today's post, we will be going into detail about the very tools you will need to be successful as a new artist. Now, without furth ado, let's jump into it!

Okay, so before we begin, I know that everyone has a different budget when it comes to what they can buy all in bulk and what it is that they can piece together so, for the sake of this blog post, I am going to share with you a shortlist of art supplies for beginners and how to keep the price tag under $55.

Now that we know what it is that we need let's take a moment to find out how we can keep the price tag under $55.

Now, given the laws of supply and demand, the prices of some items may change. However, I am still going to share the costs of the items that I recommend here in this article on Amazon as they are, as of today, September 20th, 2019.

Pencil Set

Kneaded Eraser

Now I personally enjoy using their fineliners. Typically I alternate between these and my Copic Fineliners. This set also comes with a White Gel Pen so Yay us!



03. Prismacolor Col-Erase Erasable Colored Pencil, 24-Count, Assorted Colors (20517) 13.98

Next, on our list are colored pencils, and we have 32.01 left to play with so let's see what we can do.

The color pencils that I recommend are the Prismacolor Premier Col-Erase Colored Pencils. I use them for mainly for drawing, but they can be used for coloring too. The best thing about them is that they are bright and erasable.



04. BIC Intensity Fashion Permanent Markers, Fine Point, Assorted Colors, 24-Count (Packaging may vary) $13.05


Finally, these markers are so vibrant, and they even come with a few skin tones. I really liked this set and bought it a few times as a teen until I was able to afford Copic markers.
