How To Promote Your Art Online

There comes a time in an artist's life when they ask themselves, how can I make money from my art? Well, you have come to the right place. In this post, I am going to share with you # tips on how to promote your art online.

Start a Blog

One of the easiest ways to gets started with promoting your artwork with the world is to start a blog. This will give you a home base for your content and allow you to establish a brand for yourself and your work. This will also establish authority around your name and your work. Have you ever seen a creator online and thought, I love their content, I want more, do they have a website? This is something to consider about making a name for yourself as a creator.

Post on Social Media

Content is king, and where else should it reign than on social media? Social Media is a key component when it comes to getting your artwork noticed by your potential audience. Sites that I personally enjoy posting my content include Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram. I also use sites such as Deviant Art and Art Amino in hopes of connecting with other creators.

Promote Your Art With Videos

One way that I get my art out via video is through live streaming. I host a facebook group called Drawing 101 Learn to Draw and occasionally I will go live and draw, do reviews, and talk about art. Though I haven't started my youtube channel as of yet. I plan to expand my reach to youtube in hopes of sharing my content with other creators.

Write an Ebook

Ebooks are amazing tools to have on hand as a content creator. As an artist, you can create a look book of your art or even create a book that shares tips and tricks in regards to your artistic process. Having an ebook is also a great way to build your email list so that you can start email marketing.

Support Other Artists

Give more than you take. As a creator, you need to remember that you are not then only one who is trying to make a name for themselves and that there is strength in numbers. As a creator, you should be aiming to uplift others and make a name for yourself as someone who is kind and willing to share their success with others. It will come back to you 10 fold. For me. I share the works of other creators all the time.
